Sudirman Haji Arshad was born on May 25, 1954 in Temerloh Pahang. He had his first education in the primary Temerloh, Pahang, in 1961. His secondary education in Sri Bahagia Secondary School, Temerloh and Secendary Sultan Abu Bakar School, Kuantan Pahang, where he completed form six. Then he went to the University of Malaya from 1976 to 1980 and earned a law degree. Although the formation of a lawyer, he has his career as a singer.
He was involved in singing successes strong challenge inRTM Star Search in 1976. He made his first EP Warnada under the title "doa Teri Ring" in the same year. He was an artist for EMI in 1978 and his first album was "Aku Penghiburmu.
During his life, Sudirman, 18 albums in English and Malay, like disks and tapes. After his death, four other albums have been produced between 1992 and 1996 a total of 22 albums. He married in 1981, but ended in 1984. As a Melayu Boleh, Sudirman gave all his heart to his career, including writing, drawing, and started his own company.
The singer with the people of the spirit is the only one who had made history by organizing the mega-concert in the middle of the busy road in Chow Kit. Sudirman is also known for songs such as "Chow Kit Road", "Aku Penganggur, BALIK Kampung" and patriotic songs such as "Tanggal 31". Many of his songs used the themes of city and country life and ordinary people who an artist appreciated by many. Besides Malaysia, the Albums were popular in neighboring countries like Thailand, Singapore, Brunei and Indonesia.
Sudirman show as a Melayu Boleh entertainer, one of his successes in challenge his career is Best TV Entertainer 1978 and 1985, Best Entertainer Muzik Muzik 1987. His greatest success as Melayu Boleh Challenger was the March 19, 1989 at the Royal Albert Hall, London, where he won a prize as the number one in Asia Entertainer overcome singers of all Asian countries. He also received the official Entertainment Malaysia by the Ambassador of Malaysia in 1985, the Office de Tourisme et de l'Industrie de la Musique price (AIM) in 1993.
He tried his luck in acting screen in a movie entitled "Kami" directed by Patrick Yeoh. He was also active in the country singer Association (PAPITA) and was vice-president.
In 1982 this Melayu Boleh talented singer has received the Johan Mangku Negara (JMN) Medal of King and Ahli Mangku Negara (AMN) of the Sultan of Pahang. He also received the Tokoh Berjasa Pahang Medal of Arts and Tourism Committee of Pahang.
At 4 pm on February 22, 1992 at the age of 37 from pneumonia Sudirman deceased.
